Welcome

As a Psychologist in private practice since 1986, I have had extensive experience with trauma survivors of various types – rape, accidents, childhood abuse, suicide, torture, and disasters.   I was trained originally in cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic approaches, and over the years have become eclectic and added the tools of EMDR and hypnotherapy through workshops and seminars.  Working with dissociative disorders since 1987, I have conducted groups for MPD clients and have consulted for other therapists working with dissociatives.

I provide psychological counseling services to adults and seniors.
Although my specialty is trauma recovery, I can also help families and
couples who are going through relationship problems.  I see therapy as
a partnership in which I can educate, support, encourage, and guide
clients to improve their lives.  As a Client, you need to participate
actively in this partnership.  There are no guarantees in counseling;
however, my experience is that people do feel better and generally
achieve the goals they set forth at the beginning of therapy.

For more information on my services please call my office and I will be happy to chat briefly about your concerns and set up an appointment.

Please note that I do not communicate via email.  Email is not a secure medium, and I cannot guarantee confidentiality in that mode.
